There Is a Strong Connection between Arthritis and Diet

Jun 2, 2011 by

Arthritis has a cause: the toxins that have attacked your body. If not washed out, toxic wastes will continue accumulating until they damage your joint structure. In addition, inflammation strikes and you end up with disabling arthritis.

Can you prevent this threat? Yes, by washing out of your system the toxins through an adequate diet.

What is arthritis?

The word arthritis means joint inflammation (arthr = joint; itis = inflammation). There are many types of arthritis, but the two major types are:

Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is a joint disease that can start when you injure a joint, overuse it, or you accumulate too many toxins in the body. Joints in the knees, hip, and spine start accumulating waste materials and you begin to feel pain in those joints. This toxic material damages the cartilage that covers the ends of the bones until finally they become rough and wear away. In some cases, a bone growth may develop. The inflammation in the joint causes pain and swelling.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

This is a condition that affects many body parts, including the joints. Basically, what happens here is that the fluid in the joints becomes contaminated with wastes that attack the surface of the joint and cause damage. Inflammation also occurs. The joints most commonly involved in this process are those in the hands, wrists, feet, and ankles, but large joints such as hips, knees, and elbows can also be attacked by toxic wastes.

What are toxic wastes?

Toxic wastes are residues of incomplete digestive processes. They are the remnants from unhealthy foods, refined products, and chemical additives. Toxic wastes become stored throughout your body, in your glands and in the cells of your organs. They circulate throughout your bloodstream. They cling together and create barriers that prevent free and flexible movement of your limbs and muscles. If you don’t get rid of theses wastes, eventually they will cause arthritis.

Internally you become “clogged” or “chocked” with these toxic wastes. Again, if not washed out, toxic wastes continue piling up until they damage your joint structure and cause inflammation. The result: you fall victim of what is considered creeping arthritis. Your body has been invaded, and you will start experiencing arthritis in one form or another.

Can you prevent this threat from happening? Yes, with a simple internal washing, kind of, do-it-yourself detoxification program that uses everyday foods and methods that will scrub away this pain-causing sludge.

Detoxification plan: two days of raw food

Fresh raw fruits and vegetables (and their fresh juices) are highly concentrated sources of enzymes that can clean your system. These enzymes are protein-like substances that wash your cells by breaking down, dissolving, and ultimately eliminating the toxic wastes that irritate your joints and muscles and that are to be blamed for arthritis.

To fight back, fresh fruits and vegetables begin a biological washing of the wastes that have taken a hold of your organs. Once free of these wastes, your joints and muscles start to move without pain.

A Simple two-day raw food detoxification plan

Set aside two days per week for this inner cleansing or detoxification plan. During these two days, consume nothing but raw foods.

Example:

  • Eat fresh fruit for breakfast
  • Have a raw vegetable platter with a fresh vegetable juice for lunch.
  • Dinner could be another raw vegetable meal and any desired vegetable juice.
  • For snacks choose either fresh fruits or raw vegetable chunks.

Note: try to make your own vegetable juice at home. If you don’t have a juicer, you may want to invest some money in buying one. It will be one of the best things you can do for yourself and your health.

Processed and packaged vegetable juices bought at the store will not qualify for this program even if they are 100 percent vegetable juice. The reason is that those juices have been pasteurized at high temperatures and the enzymes are “gone with the wind” from the juice. Some food markets such as WholeFoods, have an organic fresh juice vegetable bar and they can make you a fresh juice.

Detoxification benefits

Enzymes found in raw foods are able to devote full activity to dissolving the sludge that has accumulated throughout your body. Without interference from cooked foods, the enzymes work diligently, breaking down those plaque-like molecules and preparing them for elimination. This simple two day plan helps undo the wrongdoings of the rest of the week by detoxifying harmful wastes.

By eliminating your consumption of refined and processed foods and by cutting down on intake of foods that produce wastes you will help establish a more youthful metabolism and inner cleansing that will free you from arthritis.

Final word

As you start the process of detoxifying your body, make an effort to buy organic food. Your body doesn’t need the pesticides and preservatives added to produce, meats, or processed foods.

Also, if you are really desperate with arthritis pain, to speed the recovery process, you could extend the detox program to three or four days the first week and then continue with the two day regular protocol. You will be surprised at the results since in short, you will be able to bend your knees, bend at the waist, and do your house chores without any pain. It will be worth to try.

To your good health!
